About Us

A&B Glassworks was formed in the mid-sixties on the site of a former greengrocer’s shop by Stan Andrews and Doug Bailey hence the name, it was also useful as it meant a prominent listing in the Yellow Pages. In the late seventies, Brian Ford bought the business and commenced trading with one employee- him! Brian owned it until 2020, when his son, James and partner, Harriet took over.

Stoke Newington has changed hugely over the years as has A&B Glassworks, as well as the services we have always offered of window glass and glazing, glass repairs, mirrors, tabletops, splashbacks, shower screens and picture framing we are now pleased to offer bespoke doors, sashes and shutters  Whatever your project if it involves plate glass get in touch for inspiration, advice and suggestions if we can’t help you we will point you in the right direction to businesses that can.
