An update on our showroom
As many of you will know, we have not had access to our Stoke Newington High Street premises since January 2023. However, we are still based in the area and predominantly working locally.
Although we cannot offer a shop service, we are still offering most of the previous services we provided in a way many returning customers now prefer.
We now offer a local home visit service free of charge, where we can speak with you about your glass and glazing needs in the comfort of your home or premises. If you decide to proceed with an order, we can deliver at no further cost to you and at your convenience. There is absolutely no obligation to proceed on any quote as usual.
Online, email and Whatsapp
We also work mainly online now, by email or WhatsApp; if you need something, please message us with your requirements, approximate dimensions, postcode and a photo or two of the space, window or area of work, and we will get a quote back to you, usually in the same day. We have speedy lead times on products and services so that you won’t be waiting around for weeks on end.
Unfortunately, due to the skills shortage in London, many businesses cherry-pick the preferred work, rejecting anything that is less profitable or challenging. At A&B Glassworks, we look at each job closely and respond to your enquiries in a timely and polite manner.
A one-to-one service
The other benefit of not having a shop is we, as the owners, now answer all calls and emails and attend all surveys and jobs without fail, so you have peace of mind that you are getting a full, consistent service from first contact to final completion. For larger jobs, we draw down on a small trade-to-trade team of glaziers to help, but we will always attend, work on and lead your project. You will never be dealing with anyone other than us.
Many of our returning customers much prefer this new service; after all, if we are going to be honest, buying glass or glazing services doesn’t always have quite the same excitement as shopping for a new car or kitchen! Customers seem to prefer the one-on-one service throughout the process. They trust that we will do what we say we will do and that they are not dealing with multiple different people along the way.
